Summary: The world’s ending anyway; they might as well go out happy.
A/N: Written for lost_in_108 challenge #22 “heat”.

This is no time to be screwing an immortal.

Richard has Miles pinned against a tree, one arm around Miles’s waist to keep him standing as he thrusts into him, their bodies slick with sweat.

It’s too hot for fucking, Miles thinks.

But tomorrow Miles will be dead and Richard will be imprisoned by an actual, literal monster so they might as well get laid tonight.

Richard comes with a groan, rests his head against Miles’s shoulder.

“Feel better?” Miles asks lightly.

“No,” Richard whispers.

Miles pushes away from the tree, ignoring the heat and the way his knees are still shaking.

 “Alright then, let’s try that again.”

Really late comment, but I'm trying to do better with commenting in general on fic I like, and this is one of them.

Favorite line:

I love how the finale gave us a surprisingly happy ending (IMO), but I still love this line, its darkness. And since I kinda love torturing my favorites in fanfic, it grabs me how the situation's worse for an immortal Richard, with a ticked off Smoke Monster after him.
