Why you should read it:
Okay so this one is not so much happy making as it is heart-breaking, but I've pretty much accepted that my OTP is doomed at this point anyway so I might as well enjoy the angst. And this is some well written, rip your heart out angst. The language is dreamy and gorgeous, and the author nails Sawyer. It's a reset fic, set on the plane as Sawyer dreams of a life that never was. It's achy and perfect and there's a Juliet cameo I guarantee will make you sniffle.


Another Time Has Other Lives to Live by cantbesilent

Why you should read it:
Whether you ship Sawyer/Juliet or not you should read this. Trust me. Once again it's a reset fic but the language and structure in this story are breathtaking. It also has this beautiful, dreamy feeling and the author captures the sense of loss effortlessly. This time Sawyer remembers and tries over and over to reconnect with Juliet. It's sad and haunting, with an ending that's wonderfully bittersweet.

"24 Hour People"

Why you should watch it:
Sadly, I have no idea who this person is or whether or not they have an LJ presence, but this video is too lovely not to share. Granted, I get excited about any Sawyer/Juliet vids not set to generic pop songs, but I think it's safe to say that this one is awesome for reasons other than a nice song choice. It's such a nice little glimpse of the couple just as everything went to hell. I love the feeling the video builds of impending loss, and spoiler alert...it has a happy ending. ;) (Warning: If you like me are still sensitive about watching that damn well scene, it is included in the video...but if you can manage it, it really is a lovely little Sawyer/Juliet vid.)

Thanks for the recs! The cantbesilent fic is absolutely wonderful! And I haven't read the other one, but I will definitely check it out.

And yay, a vid rec! I haven't been able to find any good S/J vids and so this makes me very happy. :)

I have the hardest time finding S/J vids that I like. I've found three that I'm fond of, including this one, and one of those seems to have disappeared off of the internet for some reason.

I just wish people would realize Nickelback is not a valid band to score their S/J vids too. Just no, people. A world of no.
