lost_in_108 challenge #36 “message”. Yeah, I wrote Sawyer/Kate. No I don’t know where this came from. The muse is a fickle thing, my friends. I just do what she tells me to.
Postcards from New Orleans, Sydney, Paris…dog eared and torn, pressed into his back pockets, hidden in duffel bags, tucked away, out of sight, out of mind.
Messages scrawled in a hurry:
The weather’s nice here. You’d like it.
It’s an invitation, come find me, inevitable, but surprising none the less.
She’s in Amsterdam and there’s snow on the ground, he catches her before she goes into the hotel, wraps his arms around her from behind.
She pushes him against the wall out of instinct and he laughs.
“Son of a bitch. That how you say hello, Freckles?”
Kate grins, leans into his touch.
“You know it is, James.”

Date: 6/18/10 02:30 am (UTC)There's such intense imagery to all these scenes, imaging Kate going back to what she does best and Sawyer kind of treasuring those memories. And when they finally meet, especially Sawyer's line -- so perfect! I love that S/J is your hardcore OTP and you still write absolutely beautiful S/K.

Thanks for writing this.
