Have you read this interview (http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/whats-alan-watching/posts/exclusive-interview-lost-producers-damon-lindelof-and-carlton-cuse-talk-across-the-sea) with Darlton yet? They seem pissed off that fans hated this ep...it's kind of insulting. I usually enjoy reading their interviews but this one ticked me off.
We don't get to find out who's in the outriggers? This is annoying as all hell. They're clearly annoyed that the fans didn't appreciate their magnum opus? but at the same time I think they're feeling how they've run out of time as well. They had to ask for another hour and a half to be added to the show, they can't fit things in organically... I guess they're the real 'losers' in this scenario because as a writer, it must be frustrating to not be able to tell the whole story.
That said, I think it would have been better to scratch this episode and instead of the sideways verse, do flashbacks in every episode to Esau & Jacob's lives. I mean, that would have been the way to go. You find out their origins, you find out the rules, you find out all this information and you preserve the LOST format. As much as I love having Jeremy Davies back and Skate in elevators, I want a good storytelling more. And now that I've come up with this, it aggravates me they didn't pull it off. They've known for three years this was the last season - they should have paced themselves better.
OMG. I was in such a sour mood after Across the Sea aired, and thank God I'm a night owl and was up when Kimmel was on -- I was DYING laughing at this. XD ♥ I can't wait for his post-finale show!

Jimmey Kimmel is <3

No more Ghostfacers? But they're so awesome! I hope they do another series next year.
