Hey Lost folks help me out: was Kate still under probation when she boarded the Ajira flight? I remember her being told she wasn’t supposed to leave California at some point. So if she returns to the states she would be arrested, yes?

(Why yes I am working on a fic, why do you ask? It also happens to be the world’s most random threesome fic. I don’t know what’s going on, but last night I was attacked by a super needy plot bunny.)

She was still on probation, yes - she wasn't supposed to leave the state for 10 years.

I didn't realize that she wasn't going to trial. So she'd be out of jail in sideways-verse? I guess that's why she's so desperate to get home. But she has no one there for her. And she protests her innocence...I dunno. There's a saying that goes "Thou protesteth too much." I wonder if she'll make it back at all.

Hmm...I'm not sure what's going on with her in the sidewaysverse. She seems pretty insistent that's she innocent, but like you said she is protesting an awful lot. ;)

Poor Kate, it sucks that she threw away a reasonably happy life to go back to the island. It makes me sad to think that she can't even go home without being tossed into jail. :(

It looks like she will be which sucks so much. Poor Kate, she can't even go home when this is all over. :(

At this point I doubt that any of them will be going home when this is all over. I'm such an optimist. ;) But yeah, it sucks.

Yup, that's Dean/Kate. ;) Fic idea is carved into my brain and won't let go but ... too many fics to write and not nearly enough time and motivation.
