Summary: He was hoping he wouldn’t be so easy to forget. (Sawyer/Juliet)
A/N: This was written for lost_in_108 challenge #14 “memory”. Title from the poem “This is the Place Where the Monster Lives.”

He kisses her, rough and hard. He hasn’t shaved in a week and his stubble scrapes across her chin, leaves her skin an angry shade of red.

He took a long shot of cheep beer before hand so his mouth would taste stale and bitter. It’s a perfect recreation, or as close as he can muster in a dive bar in Miami.

“That mean anything to you, Blondie?”

She tilts her head, considering him. He holds his breath.

She shrugs, licks her lips.

“It was nice,” she offers.

He kisses her again.

She won’t remember their first kiss, but he can make damn sure she remembers their last.

This is gorgeous and harsh and so very in-character--I don't know how you make Juliet's voice so incredibly strong in just one line, but there it is. And then that last line is just wonderful. Great work!
