Title: Everything Can Be Undone
Rating: PG
Spoilers/Warnings: Through “The Incident”.
Summary: Daniel had a plan.
A/N: Written forlost_in_108 prompt #9 “simple”.
It’s simple.
You’ll find a point…a weak spot, a place with a tear and you’ll rip it apart.
The timeline can be exploited, it can be undone (it shouldn’t be of course...there will be consequences, but you can live with that if it brings her back.)
You won’t set off the bomb. It was never going to be you. That’s not the plan.
You’ll die…bullet in your back, your mother kneeling beside you. This moment is fixed.
But you already know that (scribbled in the margins, a date and a time.)
It won’t matter. You’re just the catalyst.
Whatever happened, happened.
That’s not going to be true anymore.

Date: 11/24/09 11:53 am (UTC)Would you mind if I were to friend you? My lj is a little Supernatural heavy, perhaps - but there's always Daniel! Sawyer/Juliet! And other things. :)

Date: 11/24/09 11:49 pm (UTC)I'm not usually a fan of the second person either, but for some reason this drabble demanded to be written that way. :)

Date: 11/24/09 11:50 pm (UTC)I'm absolutely obsessed with Dan's journal. I would love to have a peak inside that thing...although I'm sure I wouldn't understand a word of it. ;)

Date: 11/25/09 01:51 am (UTC)I love the chances you take here, especially with using the second-person perspective. It all just works fabulously, and it's absolutely heartbreaking -- the Charlotte mention, the recognition of his fate and his acceptance of it, the final line -- I just adore it, and I wish I had more words to tell you how much.
