1. My sweet drabblethon fic is officially done and I’m officially afraid it’s horrible.

2. Flash Forward, I’m beginning to sense a pattern with your story-telling, it goes something like this: creepy opening, nothing happens, nothing happens, redundant flashback sequence, nothing happens, nothing happens, creepy/WTF ending and cue credits. That being said, I have thoughts:

- DOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m not even going to apologize for that because I’ve been waiting to do it for four episodes. My woobie! He’s back! Guh, I’ve missed him so and hey look he and Norrington are possibly evil. This is going to rock.

-Olivia, I know you’re kind of stressed out about potentially falling for Norrington but that’s no reason to be completely reckless and irrational. That being said, does it make me a terrible person to say that I was hoping the guy was going to die just so we would have some definitive proof that these flashforwards are not set in stone (I fear we have another whatever happened, happened situation on our hands.)

-Mark’s little egg dance was adorable and I kind of wish that had been the whole hour.

-Props for the opening.

-Props taken back for making Mark say, “I don’t want to be in the dark anymore.” Then turn on a light (thank you, thank you I’ll be here all week.)

-Dimitri I still love you most of all.

- Where was Zoe this week? You can’t give me Zoe and then take her away like that and where has Alex Kingston gotten off to? Bring them back show.

-That young doctor guy is super annoying. Why is he so cheerful? I kind of hope he’s completely wrong about his future and it’s actually something awful just so he’ll stop being so chipper. Um..this show is making me a horrible person.

3. I think I’ve broken up with Glee. I haven’t watched it in two weeks and I don’t feel terribly guilty about it. I love Will and Emma and Rachel, but the dueling pregnancies storyline left an awful taste in my mouth. It was just so soap operatic and it kind of took all of the fun out of the show for me. Maybe I’ll try again later in the season, but at the moment I’m having far too much fun watching Modern Family to go back.

4. I’m going to start working on my crossover exchange fic this weekend! I’m so excited you guys. My prompt rocks.

5. I want to write Halloween fic or possibly just read some. I’m in the mood for something spooky. Anyone got any good ghost stories?

I think when we get closer to Halloween you should do a prompt meme :)

I'm really excited for my crossover meme too :)

Ooh! I might have to do that. :)

I can't wait to read them all, I'm so glad [livejournal.com profile] aurilly put the exchnage together!

Looking forward to reading your fic!

I'm glad you like your crossover exchange assignment as well - mine is awesome. :D

Aw, thank you. I hope it doesn't suck.

I get the feeling people left really awesome prompts across the board. I can't wait to read what you come up with! :)

I've not even watched last night's episode yet, but "creepy opening, nothing happens, nothing happens, redundant flashback sequence, nothing happens, nothing happens, creepy/WTF ending and cue credits." is the most accurate summary of Flash Forward ever. The episodes don't even have a plot. It's so irritating. And it's yet another show where, apparently, all the women's storylines are going to revolve around men or children. Fantastic. -grumbles-

Heh. I found the lack of plot frustrating at first, but I'm just rolling with it now. I definitely had to lower my expectations with this show. I was hoping I would love it like I love Lost, but I think I'm going to have to settle for being mildly amused by it. ;)

I really wish they would do a better job with the ladies. Would it kill them to give them something to do besides fuss over future babies and divorces?

I am two weeks behind on Flashforward, mainly because I am not feeling it at all.

In terms of Halloween fic, in 2008 Lost squee did a horror challenge based on scary movie prompts. You can find the tag list here - http://community.livejournal.com/lostsquee/tag/challenge:+lost+horror+stories . Mine was based on the Six Sense.

It's not what I was expecting at all, but I love the cast (well, most of them) and where Dom goes, so goes my nation. ;)

Yay! Thank you so much for the link, I'm so going to binge on spooky Lost stories this weekend.

I haven't watched (but read your post because I don't mind being spoiled). THANK GOODNESS Dom finally arrived! Every week I have looked for him. And I agree that Alex Kingston needs to come back. Come on, show! Bring in Scotland Yard! I also liked her because she was WORKING, and not fussing about a man or a baby, as toes pointed out everyone else seems to do. I was also intrigued by the babysitter. I hope she'll be back soon, too.

Mark is adorable when they let him be normal and fun instead of Broody McBrood (like last week when he got home from the mission, and also when he interacts with his amazing boss who is my favorite character along with Demetri). I can't wait to watch... probably not until Monday.

I'm having fun watching the show now that I've lowered my expectations (I was hoping for another Lost, I think I'm just going to have to accept the fact that there's never going to be another Lost.)

DOM! Dude, I'm so excited for next week. I totally forgot to mention it in my review, but the babysitter was back this week, so there's two things to look forward to. ;)

Wait until you see the egg scene! Mark is pretty adorable when he wants to be. The boss is awesome, there should definitely be more of him.

1. I'm sure it's great, because you're great, but I totally understand. I just finished mine -- completely put it off until yesterday because I was so worried about it -- and it's bleeeeergh. It's about 800 words, though, which is more than I thought I'd get, but it's so sappy and silly and I don't really like it, but I'm going to start a really busy day in a couple minutes and I won't have any more time. Aw well. Question, though -- are you just posting yours on your journal tomorrow and them [livejournal.com profile] demonqueen666 is rounding them up? I read all the rules, but I'm still a little confused.

2. Oh god, that line. So terrible. There was another clunker from Annoying Doctor, too, though I can't remember it right now. See, I'll respectfully disagree with you about Olivia -- I thought that though both of their actions were completely influenced by their personal opinions of the flashforwards, that Olivia was being more rational. I mean, yeah, she probably should have checked that shit out before going into surgery, but I think I would rely on medicine more than ooky visions if I were a physician. And ugggh, Lloyd is such a sad sack. I'm sorry, but I don't like him. (And I usually really like Jack Davenport, too.) I hope he is evil, because at least he'd be more interesting.

3. Glee was up and down for me this past week. I loved, loved, loved some of the musical numbers, but some aspects of the baby drama are getting to be. Also -- why is it always about babies? Can't these characters have a storyline that's not about their unrequited crushes or (non-existent) babies? Rachel, Emma, Terry -- they're all motivated by their feelings for some guy. I'm more interested in seeing more from everyone else, including Puck. It's his kid -- shouldn't he, you know, have some kind of emotional reaction to what's going on?

1. I think we're supposed to post the drabble in our journals and then pm [livejournal.com profile] demonqueen666 with a link, then she'll make a new post in her journal with links to all of the drabbles. Hope that helps! :)

I snagged the Mad Men prompt, which I love that show to pieces, but the idea of writing fic for it is so intimidating because it's so good as it is. I'm hoping I pulled it off okay...

I bet your ficlet is awesome. I haven't read any Angel fic in a long time, so I can't wait to read what you came up with!

2. That's pretty much what my Mom said about Olivia too (we all watch together), I think I was just frustrated because the symptoms matched up so well and I just wanted her to check before she started operating. Then again, I would probably want to prove annoying doctor guy wrong too. ;)

His name is Lloyd? That's unfortunate. I'm not sure how I feel about him yet, actually I'm not sure I follow his story at all...is he divorced? How often did he see his kid? I'm a little fuzzy on the details and his angsty, music montage didn't make things any clearer.

3. I was going to watch it then I read some reviews that made it sound like it was another baby centric episode and that storyline is hitting my squick button in a major way. Modern Family on the other hand pretty much delights me non-stop so I think I'm going to stick with it for now.

1. Awesome, thanks. I actually just reread everything after I left that comment, and realized I needed to send her a link. I kind of want to put it up today, since I rarely get to the computer on Saturdays and it's kind of a bitch, but I don't want my recipient to see it by accident. I dunno -- I may do it right before suppertime and say whatever, since I'd rather be early than late.

Oooooh, Mad Men! I have to admit I've never watched the show, but the setting and style alone would lend itself to some really cool writing, I think.

Hahah, don't get your expectations up too high (especially since I think you were a Cordy/Angel fan, if I'm not mistaken?). It's ... okay. I rejigged some stuff so that I don't hate it anymore, but I'm still not in love with it. I just hope my person likes it!

2. Yeah, I agree -- by the end I think she was just doing it to prove a point (to both herself and other doctor) and that's just dumb. I do like her overall, though, and her refusal to just accept and wait around for the future, though I wish they would stick more with the doctor-y stuff and not stupid triangle romance.

LOL, I know. Even his name's sad sack-y! ;P He's divorced, and his wife was killed during the flashforward; apparently she was their son's primary caretaker, so he's not sure how to deal with the autism. I'm a little fuzzy on the details and his angsty, music montage didn't make things any clearer. LOOOOL, x million. Yeah, that really clarified things, eh? ;D

3. It was -- and a subplot about featuring the club's minorities that ironically got put on the backburner. I liked that they called out Will on his tendency to keep the white kids front and centre, but then to have it all be a moot point anyway? Hilarious in a terrible way.

Modern Family is so good! Just watched it the other night. I have to say, though, I think Cougartown is my absolute favourite new show, which I was not expecting at all. It is SO effing funny, if you haven't watched it already.

NORRINGTON is on FlashForward??? And I thought it couldn't get any nuttier. ;) Should I keep watching, just for Dom? I've been dying to see him in something but I don't know if I can handle the silliness that is the plot.

I'm so excited to read the crossover exchange fics! :D Everyone seems to be really happy with their prompts.

Heh. He is and he mostly just mopes, but he's very pretty while he does it. Dom just showed up in the last few minutes of the episode and he already sounds like he's having a ball. I'm just going to roll with the silliness and enjoy the fact that Dominic Monaghan is on my TV again. I've missed him so much! :D
