Let’s get this out of the way first:

MY SHIP IS ENDGAME. SHE SAW THE FUTURE WHERE THEY HAVE COFFEE AND BABIES AND A HAPPY ENDING.

If Darlton is screwing with me there will be rage the likes of which the internet has never seen.

Okay so I just need Sawyer to keep it in his pants for 15 more episodes and we’re golden.

But you guys, they made me watch her die. Again. And he was holding her in his arms and they kissed. My heart can not take much more of this. Why is Darlton trying to kill me?

Moving on:

* Okay so we have two timelines now. On island and AU. What I don’t get is the why. Not the why did that happen, but the why do we care about an AU? What’s the point of this exercise other than “Hey, look not-dead people are having their redemption arcs fucked up! Only not really cause it both happened and didn’t happened.”

What do we gain? I’m just going to try and trust that they have a plan. They have a plan right?

* MILES! OMG. He talked to Juliet and he was snarky with Hurley and he totally knows something is up with Sayid. I missed him so much. Also, how have I never noticed that he has a tattoo on the back of his neck? Guh. So pretty. So awesome.

I want to see his AU like right now.

*Charlie! Oh, God. He almost died. He wanted to die. *pets him* We better see him again. I do not approve of an AU where is alone, in jail, and that screwed up. Not cool show.

*I so wanted Boone to pop up with a pen.

*The guitar case mystery has been solved. Thank God, because that’s been driving me nuts.

*I didn’t shed any tears over Sayid because those asshats at ABC aired a promo where he was alive and well-ish in the Temple so I knew he wasn’t actually dead.

But what is he now? What does he lack? The Temple always takes something right.

*Still loved watching Jack try to save him though. I also loved defiant Jack resurfacing there at the end. About damn time.

*Quick someone save the children from the scary cult! I half expected one of them to slip a help me note to Jack.

*Sol Starr is on the island! That’s just cool.

*I already like the Man in Black like ten thousand times more than Jacob. “Let’s not call names.” Heh.

And BRAM got STAKED. I laughed my ass off, which thank you show I needed a laugh after you tortured with The Demise of Juliet pt. 2.

*Also ash rings as protective circles, black smoke monsters---the SPN/Lost crossovers are writing themselves.

*Home is where now? Also, RICHARD! Poor guy. Did we just get confirmation that he was a slave on the Black Rock?

*The Boone/Locke convo was made of win. I’ve missed him. Shannon didn’t come back with him in this universe? Interesting.

*What’s up with Des? Shouldn’t he have drowned if there was no island wash up on? Was he time-traveling/universe hopping?

*Red scar on Jack’s neck. Was I supposed to know what that means?

*Claire’s in the cab! Very cool. I approve of this development.

*And to end this on a light note: Josh Holloway I love you, but dude you look nothing like you did six years ago. That just looked wrong.

All in all a promising start, still not sure why we're hanging out in the Alt-verse it’s kind of like half of the show is fanfiction now. But I’m not going to complain if it means I get a happy ending for my girl. Which I damn well better.

There will probably be more substantial /less spazzy thoughts tomorrow after I process. I just had to get some of the squee out.

I think the red scar is from when they were on the island. Parallels will screw you up man...

It's not fanfiction... it's uh... they have to reconnect the timelines. That's what this season is about :)

If the reason they kept Juliet alive for half the episode is so she could tell us about the coffee and let us know that, in the crazy AU they have created, she and Sawyer will live happily ever after, then I will forgive them for making us think she would live and then breaking our hearts again.

Is it weird that something in the back of my mind immediately thought of you when we heard Juliet's voice coming from below the hatch?

I'm actually very intrigued by the AU thing. I'm assuming they DO have a plan, so I'm anxious to see what it is.

I cried. Stupid Lost getting my stupid hopes up and then destroying them all over again. There had better be some Juliet in the AU! Break my freaking heart, who don't you.

I LOVED that they included Claire! YAY!!

I definitely thought Jack was going to demand pens and Boone would be all running to the rescue with a handful of pens!

I really, really liked that, in the Juliet/Sawyer scene, that seeming implication that it worked and she saw/experienced the AU. Obviously I don't super ship them, but I would love to see them meet up for coffee somewhere in the other timeline.

I totally thought the same thing about Boone and the pens. It was great to see him and Charlie again. And Claire, even though it was only like five seconds.

I'll buy that (because I so desperately want it. Even the babies...and I'm a babyfic-hater). I mean, "coffee" has already been a metaphor for a future family life with Jack and Kate, (in the parking garage), so why the hell not? Sawyer would just be smarter than Jack and not be a jerk (shhh, I still love you, Jack, quit being a jealous ass), and he and Juliet and the babies they successfully have together ('cause pregnancy would scare Juliet, huh?) would will all live happily ever after. Dammit, please let me have a romantic ending for my Sawyer, you dumb show, even if you DID somehow turn a hardcore Jack/Sawyer slasher into a picket-fence het one?

I still love my J/S OTP to death, though. Shhhhh, I'm not saying "death" around Sawyer these days, don't wanna give him back his old ideas re: Jack. But I love 'em in AU's and island scenarios. Sawyer and Juliet can have the coffee and babies and picket fence. That's MY dual timeline, I guess. ;)

Not necessarily...it could give, too. Sayid somehow purified the water and restored its healing powers. Maybe now the Temple owes him something. I wonder what he would want back the most - his innocence, or Nadia?

OH, it was YOUR post that got me and eponine119 off on the AU hair tangent...it's in her journal. OKAY, I'LL ADMIT THAT HIS HAIR WAS TOO LONG. There, you just made the Official Sawyer Hair Defender kindasortahalfway admit something. Um. I don't think he's gained weight, but his body shape has changed drastically from the slender slope-shouldered water nymph who accosted Kate in S1 because he's been working out like crazy. I saw muscle under those clothes (I have imaginary x-ray vision w/Sawyer), not fat. Flowing hair and muscle. Yeah, he looked different (and wrong, compared to 5 years ago) and good for you for bringing it up -- you have no idea what-all you started. Thanks for the late-night AIM hair-giggle-fest. ;)
