Lost Fic: These Sins Will Swallow You Whole (Sayid)

Title: These Sins Will Swallow You Whole
Character: Sayid
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers/Warnings: For “LA X”.
Summary: He can not be saved.
A/N: Written for lost_in_108 challenge #19 “redemption”.

There is no redemption for him, no absolution.

He never expected to die peacefully. He lived his life drenched in blood; he expected nothing less than a violent death.

Still he likes to believe that there is some part of him that was good. In truth he believes that part of him died with them on a street in Los Angeles, in a jungle, in a hotel room---in any case it is long gone.

He says a final prayer to a god who he knows will not (should not) save him and accepts his fate.

Forgive me.

It is not enough, but it’s all he can offer.

Oh, yes ... this is what prompted that conversation with Hurley, and you've captured it so well. And your title is fabulous.

Is it bad that I almost want this to be canon instead of Jacob!Sayid? :)

Oh man, this just absolutely broke my heart. Your Sayid voice is amazing and the entire thing just hurts so much.

THIS. This is beautiful and in-character and so unbelievably perfect. *cries*

Yes, that's so true! A very sharp - and heartbreaking - observation, very IC!

Oh god, this is so amazing and painful and perfect and... yeah. Everything else I can't think of right now. Poor Sayid. He's definitely suffered more than he ever deserved to. :(

Oh poor Sayid, this is just fantastic!
