Emerson is brilliant, but he should have won last year, not this year. The Shape of Things to Come was one of the best Lost episodes EVER and he rocked both the island story and the flashforward. SO GOOD. This year, he had some really ridiculous stuff to do. He did it well, obviously, but last year would have meant more.
I was FURIOUS that MacBrayer and Niel didn't win. Two and a Half Men?!?!?!?! Furious. And I totally agree with Valhalla. Lost being up for The Incident is ridiculous. It wasn't very good. There were a bunch of great and well-written episodes this season. The season premiere, The Little Prince, lots of stuff. I think it'll win next year. I remember The Lord of the Rings didn't win hardly anything the first two years, and then it cleaned up in the year when the last movie was eligible, and it clearly represented the entire body of work.
Niel Patrick Harris is a god. And yes, this was the best awards show I've watched in a really long time.

Regarding Mad Men, Joan is amazing. :)
